Anhui Agricultural University

Anhui Agricultural University is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. A historic institution co-founded by the provincial government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, it was among the first ten universities to establish a "New Rural Development Research Institute" and is part of the "Central and Western Universities Basic Capacity Construction Project." The university holds the designation of a "High-Level University with Local Characteristics" in Anhui Province.

The school has consistently upheld its mission to serve agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, and is dedicated to revitalizing agriculture and Anhui Province through science and education. In recent years, the university launched and implemented the "Modern Young Farmer Training Program," establishing a school-county co-construction model based on "one station, one alliance, and one center." It also developed a new agricultural technology extension service model integrating four key entities and an industrial poverty alleviation approach: "the school supports industry, industry gathers enterprises, enterprises connect large households, and large households help poor households." These initiatives have received full recognition from Party and state leaders, relevant ministries and commissions, and the Anhui Provincial Government.
